  6. diane says:

Wonderful features which I enjoy. So diverse and special. Content from authors would be welcome.

  7. pearl says:

Author interviews are interesting as well as focus on Family sagas – fiction and historicals.

  8. Mel K. says:

Instead of sending 4 books to 1 person send 1 book to 4 people. I think you should review more romance and paranormal. I also think BookPage should be free for those of us who would like to get it by mail and aren’t near a bookstore who carries it and gives it away FOR FREE.
Contests on Facebook would be cool. :-)

    • Sabrina says:

      Agreed.

    • Thanks for those suggestions. BookPage readers who pick up a free copy of our publication every month might want to say thanks to their local bookstore or public library. Just as individuals pay for subscriptions by mail, bookstores and libraries pay to receive BookPage in quantity and provide it free of charge as a service to their patrons. We appreciate their support, and we know readers appreciate the book news and recommendations!

    • Deborah Worley Holman says:

      Agreed

    • Mary A Norton says:

My library gives BookPage away free. It’s paid for by the Friends of the Library Group.

background information about the author and the books they enjoy.

I would like to see more book reviews and upcoming new releases.

  15. Kelly D. says:

If you were to add something to the site, I would like to see maybe a piece on the “exciting” books coming out that week/month/season. It’s always nice to have something to look forward to. That said, I really love what Book Page does already.

  16. Megan says:

As someone who runs a book club, I’d love to see more content specifically for book clubs – recommendations, questions, and what to serve/do at book club to go along with the book.

  17. Jackie says:

I love the site as it is, but more author interviews would be great. I love to get the inside story on the inspiration behind the books.

  25. Nancy Brady says:

I can’t wait to read Joyce Carol Oates new book…love her writing…

  26. Ivy Pittman says:

Bookpage does a great job of bringing new books to light! Perhaps you could open up a blog for us to chat with each other about some of these books. Thanks.

  27. Stephanie Freeman says:

Overlooked classics. Cookbooks. Travel essays. What authors are reading. New authors. History. Book art. Architecture. Urban planning. Ecology. Science.

  28. Nancy Pate says:

I really like the mix you have now, but I guess “more, more” isn’t that constructive. Crime fiction and first books always favorites.

  29. Lauren B. says:

I think that it would be nice if you offered a limited free version of your monthly paper. Also, I wish that the Book Fortunes section was longer. I always find a lot of great books that way. Thank you for all you do!

  35. Karen says:

I always enjoy your author interviews, especially when one is centered around a new book that he/she’s about to publish. I love learning about new releases and books by category as well. Keep them coming.

  36. Sandy Vanatta says:

Mysteries would be good to see more review on, cookbooks as well. Also, what up and coming new authors have to offer and how they started writing. Christian fiction more in detail about some of their authors as well. Love the website and the one from the library as well. I go through it from cover to cover and marking the books that look intriguing and peak my interest. Continue with both as they are awesome!!! Thanks.

I love all the different book related topics you cover, especially the “what to read after” suggestions…….maybe you could have more contest giveaways…..I would LOVE that!! :)

  45. Bob Alexander says:

I would like to see more biographies. I’d also like to comment on book reviews. After many years I’ve learned that it’s best to not allow reviews to influence me. The “blurb business” is disturbing. Fortunately sites, like this one, give us author interviews. I enjoy reading the interviews.

  46. Maria M. says:

I agree with many of the others about including more author interviews and asking them specifically what they’re reading and how their writing process goes. I really enjoy getting into an author’s brain and learning all the quirky and random things they may not normally share unless prompted to do so.

I love BookPage no matter what, but I *love* author interviews — most of those, please!

  56. I also love the varied content and interesting articles that are presented. I lead several book clubs and I would like to see more information that would help in making the groups even better. Perhaps some interviews with authors about the creation of their books: what influenced them, why they chose to write about what they did, etc. Also, have them formulate 3 or 4 questions that they feel would encourage a good group discussion of their book. It’s always fun to learn what the author thinks!

    Sci-Fi and Fantasy please

  66. wendi Tahmazian says:

  67. shelia worthey says:

Picking up the hardcopy Book Page at my local library for later reading in the Jacuzzi lead me to the Book Page online, hence the Monday contest. Luckily I have won several. Thanks. And more free books. I want to win someday!

Two things I would like for BookPage to do: more YA, science-fiction, fantasy, and history books reviewed; and more recommendations of books to read such as the “Book Fortunes” in your magazine.

  77. George Matusek says:

Some of my friends read a lot of mysteries, but because of limited time, I would like reviews to point out which new mysteries are more literary in nature and which ones avoid gimmicy plot-lines.

  78. Sandy says:

I have to add my two cents in support of author interviews.

  79. Sheila Trask says:

I’ll join the chorus on “more author interviews, please.” Always fascinating to hear about the craft behind the book!

Other than that, Book Page is truly wonderful.

  83. Sandra Hughes says:

I would like to see more contests and also agree with a previous comment that would let 4 different people win one book instead of one person winning all 4. Also would like to see the favorite books of different authors and what they are reading. BookPage is a great reviewer of books!

  84. Abbie says:

I would love to see more Science Fiction and Horror. My two favs!

  85. Jason Roland says:

I would like more contest’s and more books from first time authors. Maybe a whole page or section devoted to them.

  86. jennifer drake says:

I think it would be fun to read authors answer their own books discussion question. As a member of a book club I often wonder how the authors answer would match up to our groups thoughts.

  87. techeditor says:

Here is a very selfish, but honest, suggestion: more book giveaways sure would be nice. You could make contests more interesting than random draws.

  88. Jessica Longwisch says:

I would love more author interviews.

  89. Kristine M. says:

I would like to see more fantasy books reviewed.

  90. Teresa Whitmore says:

I would like more debut authors and being from the South I am partial to books set in the South or by Southern authors – we are a quirky lot. I have discovered several authors I might never have been able to enjoy if you had not featured them in BookPage. Thanks.

  91. Breane Ross says:

Thank You Book Page for the chance to win!

  100. Linda S says:

Love to see more mysteries/detective reviewed. Thanks.

  101. I would like to see the online edition of the monthly Bookpage presented in a different format. I have difficulty reading it as it is. But that doesn’t stop me from trying! Thank you for making it available. I rush to read it the first day of every month.

  102. Bonnie says:

I would like to see more historical and paranormal romance.

Enjoy all your offerings. Maybe author’s recommendations of books to read (after you’ve read their latest!) – favorite books, books that inspired, etc.

  104. Kelly says:

How about reader interviews? You could have readers discuss books that really affected them. Or readers could ask questions of authors and the authors could answer. I’m always looking for good books for my 10-year-old daughter, so I’d love to see more reviews of books for that age.

  105. Anna Mills says:

How about a ‘How I got to this point’ in starting their writing career?

  106. KarenL says:

I love this site and it gives me such great books to add to my “wanna read” list. I enter the contest every week and someday I know I will win. One thing I would like to see is “If you liked this book, you will love…” I have found some really good books on recommendations of this kind. I also like to know what my fave authors are reading for pleasure. You have a great site – Thanks!

Enjoy all your reviews and suggestions. Perhpas less romance and mind candy type of stuff.

  108. Marie Mullarkey says:

In their literary selections. I would appreciate titles, fiction and non- fiction, to satisfy a group like this. We need to be challenged.
    Thank you.

  109. Pamela Stohrer says:

Interviews! I’d like to see more interviews with so many people. Authors! Booksellers! Publishers! Readers! Illustrators! Editors! What goes in in their heads when they’re working? What did they read when they were kids? What books have they re-read a hundred times? Where is their favorite place to read? What book do they wish that THEY had written? How do they feel about ebooks vs real books? Have they taken trips for research, or because of a book that they read? You name a job involving books, and I’d like to hear from/about that person….

  110. Evie says:

I enjoy reading more about novels that are suspense or thrillers

  111. karen donnelly says:

I like All types of books, especially the Christian authors that write a story that is well-written. Thank you for publishing such a work for all of us that love to read about our books and use your publication as a way to find new books and authors.

Maybe more of each type of reviews — say if there were going to be 3, do 6 shorter ones.

  148. Debbie Kitchens says:

BookPage is great as is, but maybe add a section about books (some old, some current) that have been made into movies…sometimes the titles are different, so it’s not always obvious. Another thought – a list/review of past Pulitzer Prize winning books. Thanks!

  149. You do a great job, and I’ve referred at least three other people to Book Page and BP XTRA. I look forward to every issue. My library’s “Friends” provide the free copies every month. I hesitate to ask for more of anything, because I think you cover all genres’ so well. BUT, if asked, I’d vote for more fiction…literary and historical fiction.
    Thanks for a great publication.

  150. Look forward to receiving the Book Pages and read from cover to cover & Mark those books I’d like to read so having more book reviews, debut authors and upcoming releases would be great.

  151. Mopsy Forsee says:

As much as I love fiction and your comprehensive reviews, I read a lot of nonfiction books on knitting, sewing, quilting, etc. Do you think there would be much of a demand for this type of book within your reviews? I’m a little geeky when it comes to this type of book and have trouble getting my fill. (I’m voracious!)

Also, maybe I’ve missed this if you already are providing this type of review. I love to read books by new authors. Would other readers be interested in a book review that compares older authors with brand spanking new ones? Such as, if you like Christopher Moore, you’ll love (fill in the blank)? Thank you for such an informative publication. Just want more!

  152. Diane Rektorik says:

I would love to see more mid-list suggestions and reviews. Sometimes the best surprises are the little known books that will grab us and never let go. I sometimes just pluck books off the library shelf to see what “surprise” I might get. There have been some jewels among the lemons!! I also love debut authors. Their books always seem to be the story they want to tell.

  153. Lisa McVey says:

This is my first time visiting but it looks completely wonderful. I love the quirky southern books and magical/realism genres.

  154. Lisa Richardson says:

I like the reviews, as that gives me a little insight into authors I haven’t read. The author interviews are also fun, as I like knowing the backstory!

  155. SALLY says:

I AM EXCITED WAITING FOR OUR LIBRARY TO PUT OUT THE NEW ISSUES OF BOOKPAGES@MONTH’S END. I SEND ONE TO MY SISTER IN MICHIGAN &ONE TO DAUGHTER#3 IN CA. I CANNOT THINK OF ANYTHING TO IMPROVE THE ISSUE, ACCEPT MORE FREQUENT BOOK CROSSWORD PUZZLES. THANK YOU.

  156. L.M. Wright says:

I collect books by my home-state authors. Maybe a round-up of authors, state-by-state?

  157. Judith Leff says:
