Best Books of 2012: #3, ‘Where’d You Go, Bernadette’

As part of our Best Books of 2012 coverage, our editors weigh in on some of their personal favorites from the list.

Novels dealing with painful subjects in a serious fashion might get more awards (not to mention nods from Oprah) but seriously good comic novels are much more rare.  A brilliantly executed comic novel told through emails, police reports and letters, Where’d You Go, Bernadette will make you laugh out loud, while still managing to touch your heart.
