Library Love Fest contest: Winners!

Remember the Library Love Fest contest we ran with HarperCollins’ library marketing team? Ten lucky readers won a free book for themselves, along with five free books for a library of their choice.

Well, now we have the winners! I’ll list their names and local library branches below, but first I thought you’d enjoy seeing which books were most favored by the 600+ people who entered the contest. (When you entered, you had to choose which book you wanted for yourself, and which five you wanted for your library.)

All I have to say is . . . Hurrah for page-turners written by women! And . . . Yay for sharing the love with libraries!

Speaking of which: Click here to find out if BookPage is offered in a library near you. Visit Harper’s library blog here.

One Response to Library Love Fest contest: Winners!

  1. Robert A. says:

To Eliza & All at BookPage,
I am thrilled to receive my own copy of “Telegraph Avenue,” the latest novel by Michael Chabon—my favorite author—one with Pittsburgh ties! Furthermore, for a long while I have been intending to give back to my local library, which provides so many free resources, including Internet access in my town of Delmont, PA. I can’t thank you and HarperCollins enough for making possible the additional gift of five new novels – one of them Chabon’s – to this library. They were checked out by our avid readers as soon as they were entered into the catalog system!
I thoroughly enjoy reading each month’s BookPage from cover-to-cover and often find that the book reviews and author interviews complement the literary topics I listen to on National Public Radio (e.g., Fresh Air with Terry Gross).
I hope that BookPage continues to be available at our local U.S. libraries for many years to come and that other booklovers will have an opportunity just like mine to win great reads and rewards for themselves and their communities. Thank you.
    Sincerely,
    Robert Ackerman, Delmont, PA
(Now, I’m about to enter Telegraph Avenue and I just know that I’m going to have one enjoyable and transformative adventure!)
