Nancy Pearl is probably the most beloved librarian in the United States; she’s the author of Book Lust: Recommended Reading for Every Mood, Moment, and Reason and is the former Executive Director of the Washington Center for the Book. She also led the selection committee for this year’s first-ever Carnegie Medal.
Pearl is a person who knows books and loves books—so it makes perfect sense that she’d partner with Amazon to develop a series called “Book Lust Rediscoveries.” The series reprints out-of-print novels that were originally published between 1960 and 2000. Each book includes an introduction written by Pearl, as well as discussion questions and a list for recommended reading.

I tried clicking to enter the Nancy Pearl contest and all I get is a screen that says “Thank you for entering the sweepstakes.” I don’t get how this works since it didn’t ask for any contact information. I kept thinking I was doing something wrong so I clicked several times, which means I probably disqualified myself due to multiple entries!

I would love to talk to Nancy, everything about books, and book clubs. I love her books, and I have watched her on youtube recently. She is the guru about books, and book clubs and recommendations. Love her. Even if I don’t win, I would love to speak to her someday.
