Just in case you were planning on building your very own Millennium Falcon, you’re in luck.
J.W. Rinzler, the executive editor of Lucasfilm and a New York Times best-selling author, has brought the blueprints from that galaxy far, far away together in Star Wars: The Blueprints, the ultimate Star Wars gift book — for a price of $500.
This deluxe 15″ x 18″ tome weighs in at 35 pounds, has more than 500 photos and illustrations, has a custom-dyed cloth case and includes a certificate of authenticity. Printing is limited to just 5,000 English-language copies, each of which will be hand-numbered. The designs are accompanied by commentary by Rinzler and a panel of the original draftsmen who worked on the designs, plus interviews with product designers and art directors. Take a closer look at The Blueprints website.
What do you think? It came out November 1st — do you know anyone in the 5,000?
Is there any book you would spend $500 for?
