What’s not to like about Jackie Collins? The creator of the “dangerously beautiful” Lucky Santangelo writes novels filled with sex, glamour and drama like nobody else . . . and her latest Lucky novel—Goddess of Vengeance—is on sale tomorrow.
In an interview with BookPage, Collins told us about the “most Lucky-esque” moment of her life, her ideal desert-island companions and why she chose to set Goddess of Vengeance in Vegas. Here’s a preview:
How are you and Lucky alike?

My favorite mega best-selling author? Well, that would be whoever has the next book scheduled for release….currently Lee Child (The Affair due out September 27th)…then, maybe, Nicholas Sparks (The Best of Me due out Oct 11th)….oh, yes, John Grisham (The Litigator due out October 25th).
Jackie Collins of course!!
It’s a tie between Nora Roberts and Danielle Steele. Love them both! Thanks for the chance to win!
I love to read, but Lee Child is my pick
Sherrilyn Kenyon and J R Ward
Most of my favorite authors are not the mega-selling kind. Of the best sellers I like Maeve Binchy, Barbara Delinsky, some of Nora Roberts books.
I would say Pat Conroy, Ellin Hillenbrand and Jodi Picoult are among the “mega best selling authors” that I enjoy reading.
Jodi Picoult tops my list of favorites!
My favorite is Nora Roberts. I especially like her In Death series under the name J.D. Robb.
Lee Child and J.D. Robb
I have never read a Jackie Collins novel but they look like fun.
My favorite authors are Danielle Steel and Jodi Picoult.
My favorite best selling author is Michael Connelly.
My favorite mega-selling author (of the romance variety) is Nora Roberts. But then there is Lee Child, James Patterson (although I am getting more picky with him), John Grisham, Janet Evanovich, etc.
My favorite author is Jodi Picoult.
My fav best seller is Stephen King!
Favorite mega-author has to be Stephen King. The master of the “unusual.”
Lisa See, Michael Collins, Laura Hillenbrand, Jeffrey Eugenides, David Sedaris, Frank McCourt and Jackie Collins.
My guilty pleasure is James Patterson. I am very selective, I am only reading the Alex Cross series. I just can’t keep up anymore. However, it appears I am rasing a Patterson lover. I have a pre-teen on her 2nd Maximum Ride novel.
I love so many but James Patterson happens to be at the top!
My fav’s are Luanne Rice and Nicholas Sparks.

My author is Nora Roberts writing as J.D.Robb. Her famous character, Eve Dallas is one tough cookie.

Jackie Collins of course… I mean why else would I even try to win one of her books.
Danielle Steele and Barbara Delinsky are a few favorites also. But I get seriously lost in Ms. Collins’ stories. My children are grown and gone with families of their own so I don’t have to put down my book until I am finished.
Elizabeth Peters is my alltime favorite author. Her Amelia Peabody character is smart, fearless and feminine, all at the same time. I look forward to each new episode!
Both Jackie Collins and Eric Jerome Dickey are my favorite authors. But who am I kidding, I just love to
Love to read and many favorite mega selling authors, but namely, Elizabeth Berg, Joy Fielding, Jodi Picoult, Sidney Sheldon (gone now, but a great one!), and the list goes on…Read many of Jackie Collins books in the past – quick and engrossing reads, though a little “scandalous” – love them too and would love to read the current novel.
Janet Evanovich
It’s a toss up between Janet Evanovich, Sue Grafton, and Sandra Brown. If they write it, I read it.
my favorite authors are Jackie Collins for the smut, whit, glamour, shock, suspense and everything else that comes with her writing. Augusten Burroughs for the realness that you cant halfway believe is real, but is so funny and strange that it has to be true…it would be hard to make up some of the stuff his memoirs are about. V.C. Andrews, even though she has been dead for years and now has ghost writers i still love her books. the shock and suspense, the smut and everything else is like a Jackie and Augusten book all rolled into one…love them all!
