The first clip of The Hunger Games movie was released last night during MTV’s Video Music Awards. Jennifer Lawrence introduces the clip, which I’ll let speak for itself:
Sure, it’s a brief preview, but it still gave me a chill to see Katniss in action. Though I know that the story is violent and the movie will portray Katniss hunting and being hunted . . . it’s pretty amazing to see those images out of my head and on the screen. (Kind of how I feel about seeing clips from We Need to Talk About Kevin.)

It’s really dark, but looks furiously fast, like the book. Hope the movie lives up to it!

This is a great teaser — can’t wait to see the real movie trailer. This could really be a terrific movie — I hope the producers don’t mess it up!
