Maggie Stiefvater has captivated both teens and adults with her Wolves of Mercy Falls series, in which Grace, a teen girl, falls in love with Sam, a boy who lives part of his life as a wolf. In the final book of the trilogy, Forever, we find out if they can be together . . .
Forever comes out tomorrow. Today, we are giving away a box set that is SIGNED by Maggie Stiefvater! The set includes Shiver, Linger as well as Forever.
Trisha interviewed Maggie at ALA in New Orleans. During the conversation, Maggie told us about leaving behind her characters (she has mixed feelings, understandably)—and about the incredible impact she has had on readers’ lives:
Maggie also gave us a preview of her newest novel, The Scorpio Races, which comes out on October 18. (Think: Magical water horses and some very atmospheric cliffs.)
TO ENTER: Leave a comment and tell us the name of your favorite series. Bonus points if it’s an epic love story—and especially a paranormal love story.
CONTEST DETAILS: The prize is one signed box set of the Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy. One winner will be chosen by random.org from among entries received by 6 pm CST on July 15.
Want more from ALA? Watch video interviews with Jay Asher, Lauren Myracle, Francisco X. Stork and other fascinating authors.

The Covington Series by Joan Medicott!
I loved the Hunger Games Trilogy
I love the Hunger Games trilogy:)
Steig Larsson’s trilogy
I am not big on series books. They always seem to end at the most exciting part, then you have to wait a year for the next book. I have enjoyed Susan Wiggs Lakeshore Chronicles because each book stands alone even though the families and characters continue in each book.
I also enjoy the “ladies of Covington series” and I used to read Jan Karon’s Mitford series.
Twilight series
I am not too crazy about series…it’s generally too long a wait between books but I do like Dee Henderson’s books. They can be read as a series or individually.
Christopher Moore’s vampire trilogy. It’s a love story – I love Abby!
I liked Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series.
I have read all 3 of Maggie Stiefvater’s wolves books ( I have an ARC from where I work) and I have to say that I truly love these. I don’t read too many series, but this is my favorite.
The Twilight series was fun to read.
I agree with liking The Hunger Games series.
Anne Rice’s vampire books and her witches series. The Mary Steward King Arthur series has been a favorite for years.
My most recent favorite series was Suzanne Collins’s Hunger Games trio. All-time favorite is Mary Stewart’s King Arthur series. Stiefvater’s Wolves series has been VERY popular at the middle school where I work. They are much better written and more romantic than the Twilight books! We can’t wait to get a few copies of the third book!
Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon – epic, paranormal, AWESOME!
I LOVE a good series!! There is nothing like that feeling of anticipation for that long awaited next book!! Some of my favorites are the Twilight series, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo series and who did not enjoy the vampire Lestat series?
Christopher Moore!
The Millennium Trilogy by Steig Larsson and the Harry Potter books.
Try the Eastport Maine series by Sarah Graves. If you have never been to Eastport Maine you will want to visit after reading these books. Great mysteries about fixing up an old Sea Captain’s house.
I love Charlaine Harris’s Sookie Stackhouse series.
Looks like an interesting set of books to read…
I enjoy the various series by V C Andrews. She recently started a paranormal series.
The Deborah Crombie mystery novels set in England are a compelling series which are memorable.
I have to go with the Twilight series.
Amazing to see how entrenched authors get in their series. A long time ago, I loved the King Arthur series by Mary Stewart, and lately those by Steig Larson and The Hunger Games trilogy. Much good reading!
Paranormal love story series would have to be Twilight. I had forgotten about the Mary Stewart Arthur books until I saw them mentioned here; I read them so long ago, but I loved them too.
My fave series is the Seven Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima.
This sounds like a fabulous series. I’ll read it and pass on to a young person. There’s been so many great series recently that it is hard to pick one. I’ve enjoyed Hunger Games, Twilight, Harry Potter, Girl with Dragon Tatoo, Outlander… the Mitford books back when they came out. There’s something comforting about knowing there is a another book waiting or coming out soon. Knowing your favorite characters will be coming back around – that’s a great feeling.
The Blood Brothers series by Nora Roberts!
I love Kelley Armstrong’s Otherworld series.
“The Dark Tower” series by Stephan King.

Wow. This week really caught me off guard. Honestly, the last series I read was the Little House on the Prairie books I read as a kid. I haven’t even heard of most of the authors listed by earlier responders. When I find an author I like I tend to read all of their books, so I’m not opposed to series. The Hunger series is on my to-read list for summer. Seems like as good a place to start…..
Not an epic love story- but my favorite. Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.
I liked the Mercedes Thompson series by Patricia Briggs.
I love lots of series. The Hunger Games was great, but if we’re talking about romance my first love was Lord Peter Wimsey series by Dorothy Sayers. The romance between him and Harriet was wonderful!
I love the “Beautiful Creatures” series by Kami Garcia. Lena and Ethan are so Romeo and Juliet. Ethan’s job is to help the love of his life, Lena, choose which side of witchcraft she will embrace- dark or light?
