Centuries of June by Keith Donohue didn’t need to have such an eye-catching cover. Its surreal plot will pull readers right in, as it all takes place in one bathroom in an old house just before dawn — but travels through time and space in the mind of an unnamed and incapacitated protagonist. Our reviewer describes it as “existentialist and deeply moving.”
But nevertheless, the cover will getcha! The book trailer from Crown has some fun with the provocative cover. It features Donohue himself, solving the problem of the offensive book jacket:
We’ve been talking a lot about book covers lately, with steamy romance coverboys, links to the book covers that got away and the reworkings of classics. What do you think of this cover?
For those who have read Donohue’s newest book, what’s your opinion?

I like the cover! But then I like word tattoos – which it looks like…
