Remembering Elizabeth Taylor

As most of you probably know by now, film legend Elizabeth Taylor died today in Los Angeles. She was 79. We should probably all celebrate Taylor’s life by going home and watching Cleopatra or Cat on a Hot Tin Roof—and of course we could read one of the many books about her life.

Most recently, BookPage reviewed How to Be a Movie Star: Elizabeth Taylor in Hollywood by historian William J. Mann.

Reviewer Pat Broeske writes:

Mann concentrates on what he calls the “chocolate sundae” years—those of the great films and great romances . . . Say what you will about her, the woman knew how to be a star.

What was your favorite movie (or book) starring Elizabeth Taylor? She will be missed.
