The trailer for Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, Lisa See’s 2005 debut, was released today. They’re emphasizing the friendship factor (and toeing the cheese line in doing so) but I suppose they could hardly lead with the harrowing footbinding scene.
I’m betting this will be a big summer movie—and will probably give a big push to See’s upcoming release, Dreams of Joy, as well. Are you looking forward to this one?
