I have never met anyone who’s read more mysteries than our own Bruce Tierney, Whodunit columnist extraordinaire. For years he’s been choosing a mystery of the month, and Karin Slaughter has been a pick multiple times. He says her latest, Broken, which went on sale Tuesday, is the best so far: “There are secrets in Grant County, and unearthing some of them can be lethal, even if you carry a badge.”
We BookPage editors fell in love with Karin Slaughter when she was our Meet the Author guest in 2008 for Fractured. Who can resist an author who appreciates Southern grammar?

I have all Ms Slaughter’s books and the Will Trent character is, in my opinion, by far the best. I just wish she would rid him of Angie and Sara. A character with that tragic a background surely deserves better. Having now expressed the sentimental view, I hope she will continue writing about Will and, please do not kill him too.
Hey just to say that i agree that the will trent character has had a huge impact on me so far.I think sara deserves a person like will and vice versa. I think we definitely need to watch this space.
