Whether you’re celebrating Christmas or just celebrating a couple of days off, we’re betting this long weekend will contain at least a few hours of reading time for most of you. It certainly will for me. Snug in my suitcase: The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie by Muriel Spark and Crash Course by Paul Ingrassia. Neither of which has any connection to Christmas, but I’m sure to be getting enough holiday spirit from other sources!
What are you reading this holiday season?

I’m reading The Time Traveler’s Wife, and actually just happened to read the first Christmas scene today, when Clare take Henry home to meet her family for the first time.
I was enchanted by the cover of La’s Orchestra Saves the world…and it was short, so I’m reading that this weekend.
I’ve just finished “Let It Snow,” a fun trilogy of Christmas-themed YA stories (frothy, clever, and fun).
I’m looking forward to “Gentlemen & Players” by Joanne Harris, and I’m drooling over “Half Broke Horses” by Jeannette Walls. Who needs presents with these books awaiting?
Our book club is reading Pride and Prejudice. I just started the book and really have to concentrate on what I am reading. This is not going to be a quick read!
I’m working on “Mennonite in a Little Black Dress.” I’ve had a few LOL moments with it.
Looking forward to “Wrecker” and “Pirate Lattitudes” over the weekend. These are all audiobooks, so I will probably finish them while doing other things.
Happy New Year to All.
