Quintessential Gonzotic pictures -- the first glimmer of Gonzo in some of my early work -- an explanation
of my birth, my mother and father, man and beast and my relation to them. The reasons for my frenetic response
to the screaming lifestyle of America and my love of it through my friendship with Hunter S. Thompson and
Kentucky. War -- Millenium Oratorio about the rainforests, work in progress -- the graffiti of my life.
What's your favorite thing about this book?
The energy it projects when I feel glum and bloody tired.
What's your favorite book? Favorite movie?
Le Bete Humaine by Emile Zola. Inherit the Wind produced and directed by Stanley Kramer.
Which writer's work influenced you least?
Heart of Darkness. Joseph Conrad.
About what will your next book be?
Plumbing. The philosophy of French plumbing to be precise. The nature of its strange pipework and its indelible relation to the alimentary canal.
Your most aggravating habit?
Shouting! When I know I am in the wrong.
Which one extremely famous person would you like to read your book?
Slobodam Milosevic -- I do not think we have one jot in common.
