Happy Birthday, Dear Corduroy!
The little stuffed bear has been searching for the lost button to his overalls -- and finding it -- for 30 years! First published in 1968, Don Freeman's "Corduroy" has endeared himself to countless children, especially those intimidated by large department stores. Don Freeman, author and artist, also created "A Pocket for Corduroy" which was published in 1978. More recently, Corduroy emerged again in two animated videos released by Paramount in 1996: "The Dinosaur Egg" and "Home." Keep on searching, Corduroy.
