Joey Green is a guy who sees potential all around him.He shaves with Jif peanut butter. He polishes his furniture with SPAM. He lures trout with Vaseline.
In Joey Green's world, there's no such thing as a single-use product. With a little ingenuity, you can do anything with everything.
His third volume of demented household tips has just landed: "Wash Your Hair With Whipped Cream", and it upholds the fine tradition of "Polish Your Furniture With Panty Hose" and "Paint Your House With Powdered Milk."
To show that he hasn't lost his touch, Green opens with a virtuoso listing of 49 uses for Alberto V05: polish golf clubs, clean plant leaves, break in a baseball glove, prevent nuts and bolts from rusting, and on and on. We're wondering if Alberto V05 is actually WD-40 in disguise.
We also wonder what life is like at the Green household. The medicine cabinet must be a sight: Hellman's mayonnaise as a hair conditioner, Crisco for diaper rash, Hershey's syrup as a shaving cream. It may be that there's no pantry at all -- it's just a big room full of stuff, where you go and see what might work.
