On a journey to good communication

Review by Michael Pellecchia

Oarsmen, golfers, tennis players, and musicians have experienced the concept of "swing." As Joe Jaworski describes it, swing is "finding a way to dissolve the perception of separateness among the fellows in order that they might work together and experience one another on a different plane." The power of this central idea, however defined and described, was at the core of the best-selling book The Celestine Prophecy. As the author, son of the late Watergate Special Prosecutor Leon Jaworski, tells it, "swing" unlocks "some of the most exciting and powerful moments of group communication and collective action imaginable."

Synchronicity: The Inner Path of Leadership largely describes Jaworski's philosophical journey over two decades, using the term coined by C.G. Jung who called synchronicity "a meaningful coincidence of two or more events, where something other than the probability of chance is involved." Overall, the author's journey will interest anyone with a curiosity about the relationship between leadership and the frontiers of human knowledge.
