Review by Michael Pellecchia

The Scholarship Book, Fifth Edition is a directory to many scholarships that may help target the ones the student is most likely to win. Author Daniel J. Cassidy claims his National Scholarship Research Service (NSRS) is the largest private sector financial aid research service in the world.

The bulk of this book is indexed by field of study, much like a conventional college catalog. Each listing has the information necessary to guide the student or parent in writing for applications from the scholarship source.

Keep in mind that the easy availability of scholarship source information has increased the number of inappropriate applications that the sponsoring organization receives. And no one can guarantee a scholarship or increase a student's eligibility for one. Remember, the awards are at the sole discretion of the sponsoring organization.
