The title alone was enough to draw us in. Rarely has a mere book title kept us going for almost 700 pages, but we simply had to know: what is that cure for evil?
Rafael Yglesias has such an elegant, effortless way with this subtle, complex story that before you know it, you're halfway through with the book.
Yglesias is known for his psychologically layered novels (Fearless is the most familiar), and his amazing, careful research is evident in this engrossing story of a psychiatrist whose own harrowing past becomes completely intertwined with his patients'.
What is the cure, you ask? Ah, but that would spoil the fun.
