Mystery is combined with a love of horseback riding in the first of the new Riding Academy Series, Haunted Horseback Holiday by Allison Hart. Four roommates from Foxhall Academy go on a horseback riding vacation. Their destination turns out to be a working ranch rather than the expected dude ranch, much to the chagrin of the vacationers, and that's just the first of surprises in this brisk, action-packed story. Intrigue and good character description, along with lots of riding escapades, mark the beginning of this new series.
