In The Web, Jonathan Kellerman draws you into his newest thriller-chiller with the skill of a crafty spider. When psychologist/sleuth Alex Delaware accepts an invitation to spend three months on Aruk, a little piece of island paradise in the South Pacific, he doesn't expect it to be a "busman's holiday," but that's what it turns out to be. Invited by the venerable, venerated but secretive "Dr. Bill," a long-time resident and philanthropic supporter of the island, Alex is quickly enmeshed in a pair of recent cannibalistic murders and in the good doctor's slowly revealed, tortured past and what endures from it. John Rubinstein has recorded many previous Alex Delaware novels and always does an excellent job-this is no exception.
