Review by Sukey Howard
When Dirk Pitt, the doyen of derring-do, says, "We'll have to go clandestine," you know that you're in for nonstop audio adventure with techno trimmings galore. And that's just what you get in Shock Wave , Clive Cussler's newest zinger. Investigating a weird phenomenon that's killing sea life in Antarctic waters, Pitt and his sidekick, Giardino, stumble on to something bigger and even more ominous-an acoustic death plague-that wipes out anything in its path, people included. The perpetrator is a ruthless Australian billionaire diamond baron who will stop at nothing to get what he wants, even murdering one of his daughters and his only grandchildren. The only man that can stop him is Dirk Pitt, but time is running out. James Naughton is the cool reader Dirk deserves.
