303 Off-the-Wall Ways to Get a Job by Brandon Toropov. Ever consider submitting a David Letterman-type "Top Ten Reasons" why you should get this job? How about the shameless (and risky) tactic of submitting a helium balloon along with your resume? Applying for a job as a waiter? Don't leave home without a clip-on bow tie. You've got to read this book if you're in a rut looking for a job. Risky tactics could work. Such as showing up on the job and claiming you've been hired already . . . or trapping your quarry in the elevator. The author's point is that in today's job market, you need to demonstrate dramatically that you're adaptable and deal well with change, that you know the importance of results, and that you know the company where you're applying.
