Review by Alice Cary

Bernard Most caught the fever when his eight-year-old son asked what would happen if the dinosaurs returned; thus If the Dinosaurs Came Back was born. Most's boldly colored creatures adorn his black-and-white sketches in delightful ways: dinosaurs consenting to be ski slopes and commuter buses, for instance. In the companion volume, Whatever Happened to the Dinosaurs?, Most ponders their disappearance with more silly suggestions sure to bring a smile.

There's more substance but still a sense of fun in Most's Dinosaur Questions, which asks such things as "How can scientists tell if fossils are male or female?", "Why was one dinosaur named 'good mother lizard'?" "Did dinosaurs have ears?" and "Did dinosaurs swim?" The answers are straightforward and entertaining, not overly technical.
