Review by Michael Pellecchia

The major claim made by this book is as follows: "Managing and reporting income so that you reduce or eliminate your chances of being audited is a function of knowing certain tax information and techniques." The authors detail the workings of the IRS, both specifically and in broad brush, so you'll have a more intelligent perspective when it comes to filing. Kaplan's basic premise is that the IRS tries to trap taxpayers, it's all basically on the up and up, and youÕre better off knowing about it in advance.
