Review by Michael Pellecchia

Pricey as it seems, there is a wealth of advice and perspective for the daily education of the serious investor in The Financial Times Global Guide to Investing.

This 700-plus page book features a distinguished roster of successful practitioners holding forth on every aspect of successful investing. A bonus is Part 7, "Learning from Living Legends," a collection of articles by "the top ten global investors of the 1990s." Names in this group include Sir John Templeton, Dr. Martin Zweig, Mario Gabelli, Michael Aronstein, and Michael Price. Edited by James Morton, the essays are brief and digestible as a rule, the range of topics is wide.
