Grammy winners

Though his best-known musical talent is playing the saxophone, Bill Clinton snagged a Grammy recently for an entirely different skill: reading a children's story. Clinton picked up his first Grammy in the category of Spoken Word Album for Children. In what must be the oddest trio ever to take home a Grammy, Clinton joined Mikhail Gorbachev and Sophia Loren as winners for their narration of Prokofiev: Peter and the Wolf/ Beintus: Wolf Tracks, a performance with the Russian National Orchestra released by PentaTone Classics. (Look for the CD in the classical musical section.)

In the adult Spoken Word Album category, Hillary Rodham Clinton was nominated for her memoir, Living History, but she lost out to Al Franken for his reading of Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them from HighBridge Audio.
